Meet Dr. Kathleen Sawhill

Dr. Sawhill was born and raised in Northern Michigan. She graduated from Central Michigan University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She continued her academic career at Central when she was accepted into the Doctorate of Audiology program. She obtained her Au.D. from Central Michigan University in 2006 and practiced Audiology at Munson Medical Center for three years.

During her time at Munson, Dr. Sawhill provided diagnostic testing and hearing aid services to persons of all ages. She also played an instrumental role in initiating a sedated Auditory Brainstem Response Test program that helps to service children in Northern Michigan.

Dr. Sawhill formed Hearing Solutions of Northwest MI with Dr. Leahy in July 2008.  In this new Audiology practice she continues to provide diagnostic hearing evaluations and hearing aid services to individuals of all ages.

She is currently a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Dr. Sawhill, her husband and two sons, Max and Finley, currently live in Traverse City.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, baking and running.
